I chose CentraleSupélec because it is a generalist school.
When I was in prep school, I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do next as an engineer, but I was very interested in the engineering profession.
My parents encouraged me a lot – there were no engineers in the family yet! – and that meant a lot to me, because as a girl, I might not have dared to make that choice.

So I worked hard, and I passed the competitive exam.
In my first year, we were told about the Sébastienne Guyot scholarship, and I decided to apply. My parents have a very modest income, so I was very interested in this scholarship. I explained my background, what I wanted to do with this scholarship, and I was lucky enough to get it. My Sébastienne Guyot scholarship was
funded by the company Sopra Steria. I am very grateful to Sopra Steria, because it is thanks to this scholarship that I am where I am today.
I didn’t expect this scholarship to help me so much.
The Sébastienne Guyot scholarship allowed me to finance housing, food, and handouts for classes, without doing too many student jobs outside of the School.
Thanks to this, I was able to free up time to participate in the very rich student community life at CentraleSupélec. I was in the Bureau des Arts, in the Club Magie and in the Club Robotique. And then, above all, I was able to realize my double degree project in Japan! My mother is Japanese, and Japan is also the country of technological progress, so this choice was natural and logical for me.
I left for two years to do research in a robotics laboratory at Keio University, near Tokyo. And I got a double degree: one from CentraleSupélec and a Master’s in Engineering Sciences there.
