Faced with a critical shortage of engineers, CentraleSupélec’s plan to attract more women and scholarship holders

With the support of the Foundation, CentraleSupélec has launched a series of initiatives to recruit more women and students from modest backgrounds.

France lacks at least 10,000 engineers a year to meet its industrialization and transition needs. However, “there are two populations that are under-represented in engineering and exact sciences”, points out Romain Soubeyran, CentraleSupélec General Manager: “students from disadvantaged backgrounds and women”.
