Georges Chodron de Courcel, a long-standing commitment to the school : A graduate of the Ecole Centrale Paris Class of 1971, President of the Ecole Centrale Paris Foundation between June 2012 and April 2018, Vice President until July 2020 of the CentraleSupélec Foundation, and involved in the Centrale Paris Development structure, Georges Chodron de Courcel has been appointed President of the CentraleSupélec Foundation at the age of 70.
Georges Chodron de Courcel joined the Banque Nationale de Paris (BNP) in 1972, in the commercial bank, before moving up the ranks. He was appointed Central Director of BNP in 1990 and Head of the Financial Division in January 1991, then Deputy Chief Executive Officer of BNP from 1996 to 1999.
After the creation of the BNP Paribas Group in August 1999, he was appointed Member of the Executive Committee and Head of Corporate and Investment Banking of BNP Paribas, a sector he continued to manage when he was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the group in charge of Corporate & Investment Banking and Investment Solutions. He retired
in June 2014
