On June 21, 2021, CentraleSupélec’s AI Hub was inaugurated, a new single point of entry in artificial intelligence and data science for students, teacher-researchers, entrepreneurs and partners of the School.
A new ecosystem at the service of all
CentraleSupélec has a very important activity in artificial intelligence within its research laboratories, its teaching departments and in entrepreneurship. There are also many requests from companies in this area. The creation of the AI Hub, which coordinates all of the school’s related initiatives, will thus facilitate innovative projects at the crossroads of education, research and entrepreneurship, and involve companies.
To encourage the creation of this ecosystem, a map of AI activities in the School has been drawn up, listing more than 70 researchers and 150 doctoral students involved in this field, to whom we relay numerous opportunities: partnerships, chairs, theses, etc.
There are many examples of this, and they are likely to multiply at a time when AI, health, sustainable development and industry 4.0 have been designated by the School as priority areas for developing high value-added cross-disciplinary projects.
“This Hub is also intended to promote AI made in CentraleSupélec.”
The Foundation was a key player in this creation. It not only contributed to its development, but also financed the recruitment of its project manager.
A symbolic place
The IA Hub room is located in the Bouygues SC.175 building.
The AI Hub is embodied by this place where students, including those from the AI Automatants association, teacher-researchers, partners and startups are regularly present.
Numerous demonstrations will be offered by the Automatants in order to sensitize a large audience to AI.
